Color washing is perfect for anyone who thinks, “I’m not so sure about faux finishes ...” It’s meant to produce a very subtle effect that won’t overpower a room. At the same time, the technique adds plenty of drama with its undulating shades of color. Color washing is also one of the easiest and most forgiving decorative paint techniques. It’s a simple process that involves mixing latex paint with tintable glaze and then blending two layers of tinted glaze.
