When it comes time to build your next set of utility cabinets, it’s
worth giving melamine a closer look. The material couldn’t be
more basic: It’s just particleboard with a plastic resin coating
on both faces. That gives melamine attributes that other cabinet-building
materials lack: It’s inexpensive, durable, requires no paint
or finish, and is readily available at any home center.
Melamine is also easy to work with. But it does present some challenges
that require specific techniques. The tips in the article to the left
will ensure great results, no matter what the project. |
